Stories that lead back to Scripture.
Ten Commands from God is an educational guide with three distinct paths: illustrated stories for elementary children, decision cases for teenagers, and direct examinations of responsibility for adults.
What is Scripture—and what is a story?
Bible quotations are identified as King James Version (KJV) text from Exodus 20. All story situations, dialogue, outcomes, titles, and activities are fictional teaching material or commentary. They are not additions to the Bible or promises that every faithful decision produces an easy result.
Read Exodus 20 in the King James Version. Lessons 2 and 4 show an opening verse and include the full commandment in an expandable passage.
Numbering and interpretation
Numbering follows the common Protestant arrangement separating no other gods and no graven images. Other traditions number the same passage differently. The sabbath lessons preserve the seventh-day wording and acknowledge differences in Christian application. Teachers and families can discuss these matters together.
Age-appropriate learning
The children’s lessons use gentle story scenes and practical missions. Serious commands are explained without graphic or explicit material. Children are never made responsible for an adult’s marriage, abuse, or wrongdoing. Practical examples of valuing life are distinguished from the command against killing.
