Disregarding the holy rest God commanded.
Commandment 4 · Remember the sabbath

Your schedule has room for work, extra work, financial monitoring, messages, and recovery through more consumption. Worship is always the first commitment surrendered. Rest feels like weakness unless it improves productivity. Exodus 20 gives Israel a seventh-day sabbath, grounding it in God’s creation and rest. Read that actual text before defending your routine.
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.Exodus 20:8 · King James Version · Opening verse of this commandment
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Receiving the command seriously and practising its application with deliberate care.
Christians differ concerning sabbath observance. This lesson preserves the KJV’s seventh-day wording and does not equate it with Sunday by substitution.
