Ten Commands from God

Commandment 8 · Do not steal

The reimbursement nobody checks

An employee removes a personal purchase from business expense claims.

You control small business expenses. An extra personal purchase can disappear inside a legitimate receipt. Your work has been undervalued, and you can list every reason you deserve more. But you have not been authorised to take this money. You are about to turn a grievance into a private pay rise.

Start with what God says
Thou shalt not steal.Exodus 20:15 · King James Version
Choose your response

Does being underpaid transfer ownership?

Choose the response you are prepared to defend. Then examine the cost.

Where the command is violated

Name the wrong

Taking funds without permission and disguising the transaction.

What obedience looks like

Act with integrity

Respecting entrusted money and seeking fair treatment honestly.

Understand the command

Read beyond the excuse

This is theft, not creative budgeting. A private belief that you deserve more is not authorisation.

Make the next step concrete

What will change after this page?

Check one expense, account, or entrusted item you have rationalised. If you took what was not yours, plan an honest correction and appropriate repayment.
