Commandment 6 · Value human life

Do not turn a threat into a show

A student shows a concerning message to a trusted school staff member.

A conflict outside school has escalated. Someone sends a credible threat to kill another student and shares where they plan to find them. A group chat wants to watch and record it. This is no longer banter or a chance to collect a dramatic clip.

Start with what God says
Thou shalt not kill.Exodus 20:13 · King James Version
Make your call

What is the next responsible move?

There is a cost behind every answer. Choose one to examine it.

Where the command is violated

The line crossed

Deliberately taking a human life; the threat here signals a serious risk of that wrong.

What obedience looks like

The better decision

Valuing life by seeking urgent responsible help and refusing to fuel violence.

Understand the command

Do not miss the distinction

The command forbids killing. The response in this case is a practical way to protect life, not an instruction to confront a violent person.

Take it into your week

Prepare before the pressure

Name the trusted adults and emergency route you would use. Explain why forwarding a threat for entertainment differs from showing it to someone who can help.
