Ten Commands from God

Commandment 6 · Value human life

The ball beyond the fence

Children remain behind a park fence with a trusted adult while a ball lies near the road.

Your red ball rolls toward the road. A younger child reaches for the gate. You spot a trusted grown-up nearby. This is a safety story about caring for life. The commandment itself forbids killing; deliberately taking someone’s life is far more serious than a playground mistake.

Start with what God says
Thou shalt not kill.Exodus 20:13 · King James Version

Deliberately taking a human life. This story does not show that act.

The faithful path

Learning to value life by seeking help when someone may be in danger.

Understand the command

Take this with you

Human lives are precious. The positive action in this story practises care; it is not the full meaning of the command.

Your hands-on mission

Try it away from the screen

Point out two safe adults at home or school. Practise saying clearly, “I need help. Someone may be in danger.”
