Ten Commands from God

Commandment 7 · Be faithful in marriage

A promise that needs care

Parents repair a little model house while their child watches.

At the kitchen table, two married grown-ups are repairing a tiny wooden house. They explain that marriage includes a special promise: a husband and wife are to be faithful to each other. One of them says, “Promises need care, just as this little house does.” You are listening and asking questions, not fixing their marriage.
